IMPACTING GLOBAL MISSION: Through Intercession and Training.

Kent Anderson

Most of Kent’s life has involved the Bible and passports.

He was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo to missionary parents and lived there until he moved to the USA for university. After studying Graphic Design he spent several years working in advertising and helped to plant a church in Dallas, Texas.

Kent and his wife Valerie moved to the UK in 1990 to work with Wycliffe Bible Translators. For the next 20 years he focused on challenging people with the need to engage with the Bible here at home as well as being involved in what God is doing around the world.

Kent loves to open the Bible and encourage people to think about it in simple and practical ways. He is invigorated by the mix of cultures required in international contexts. He loves to approach situations asking, “how can God surprise us here?”

Kent moved from Wycliffe to European Christian Mission in 2010, where he now serves as British Director. A highlight of his time there has been regular visits to the Balkans to support the strategic initiative bringing Brazilians and Ukrainians to work alongside national church leaders in order to accelerate the pace of church planting and growth.

Kent hopes to see people from around the world amazed by what God is able to do not just in Europe but also in their own lives.
